What is bbcor bat?

BBCOR stands for "Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution." It is a standard measurement for determining the trampoline effect of a baseball bat. BBCOR bats are designed to have less trampoline effect and less of a "pop" off the bat than older, non-BBCOR models. They were introduced in 2011 and are now required for use in high school and college baseball. The BBCOR certification ensures that the bat meets specific manufacturing and performance standards. BBCOR bats are meant to produce more consistent, safer results on the field and are now the standard for baseball players at the amateur and collegiate levels.
